For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

Opening hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Regensburg keep standard hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on the weekly Ruhetag, on Sundays and over the Christmas and Easter holidays. You can reach KFZ Mert on 0176 24889254; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, kfz-mert.de.

Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Regensburg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We lost engine power near Regensburg while on a family road trip, during the heat wave. Mr. Mert returned my call and accepted to have a look that very Saturday morning, setting reasonable expectations that he can diagnose but not guarantee a fix. He ended up fixing not only the engine, but also the faulty air conditioning. Great professional and kind human being. Thank you!

Me and my family were on a trip to germany with my BMW 5 series and my car broke down and i was recommended KFZ Mert garage so i towed my car there. The garage quickly found the issue and told me the engine belt had snapped, they managed to fix it in one hour and I continued my journey in Germany. Great staff, all very friendly. Everyone was very professional and it was all very tidy. The prices were reasonable. Thank you so much, I highly recommend this garage.🙌🏼

I travelled with my family from Irland to Romania by car and unfortunately the front suspension on my Audi A8 has been broken. We had the amazing pleasure of meeting and been helped by this extremely professional mechanic who found by diagnostic the exact problem and repaired the car, even after his working hours. I consider that he made a huge sacrifice waiting for me and my family even on Friday evening delaying his holidays plans. I will love to highly recommend and give him a maximum of seven stars to this amazing mechanic and human being. Thank you very much!

I got referred by one of my friend about this workshop. Initially I was skeptical about the rating. Until I experienced myself when I saw light smoke come out from my front wheel. Mert quickly gave me termin and found out whats wrong. The price also reasonable, the most fair price you can get in town. Ps: my car is BMW 325d GT
