München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Munich's magnificent malls, pedestrian-only boulevards, and outdoor flea markets are some of the greatest locations for shopping. Numerous shopping destinations on this list are located in the city centre and provide a decent selection of both luxury goods made in the United States and abroad and fantastic deals. You may visit well-known historical sites and cultural attractions in between your Munich shopping excursions thanks to the majority of the stores in the Old Town. Sundays are closed for most street-side establishments and malls, so make sure to plan your trip accordingly.
