Karosserie Meyer

Karosserie Meyer is a kfz-werkstätten in Nürnberg, Bayern. It is listed at Hermannstraße 13, 90439 Nürnberg, which places it among the local businesses of Nürnberg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as karosseriewerkstatt, fahrzeuglackiererei, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Cars in Germany need the main inspection (Hauptuntersuchung, by TÜV or DEKRA) every two years, and a workshop that handles it for you is worth keeping in your contacts. Ask for an itemised estimate before work starts, check whether the price includes labour and VAT, and ask whether original or aftermarket parts are used. A Vertragswerkstatt costs more than an independent workshop but keeps the manufacturer's warranty intact, and winter tyres are required whenever conditions are wintry.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–12 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0911 617816. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, karosseriebau-nuernberg.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 64 reviews, which is a strong result for a kfz-werkstätten in Nürnberg and suggests consistent service.

Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.
