We organised our wedding dinner at Kahaani, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Trishita and the entire team were incredibly supportive and attentive, taking great care to accommodate all our needs and make our special day memorable. The food was absolutely brilliant and delicious, and the service was exceptional. The whole team was warm, caring, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. We would highly recommend Kahaani to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable celebration.

We ordered from Kahaani Indian Restaurant on two consecutive days, and unfortunately our experience was quite mixed. On the first day, the food was really tasty. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries had good flavor and were enjoyable. The naan was a bit chewy, but that’s fairly common with home delivery, so it wasn’t a major issue. The second day was disappointing. When we called to place our order, we were told that we had made the delivery driver wait for 20 minutes during the previous delivery, which did not match our experience. There may have been a short wait of around 7–8 minutes, but certainly not 20. More importantly, the food quality on the second day was noticeably worse. The vegetarian curries in particular lacked the flavor and quality we had enjoyed the day before, and we couldn’t even finish them. It was surprising given how good the food had been on our first order. On a positive note, the owner kindly included a mango lassi, which was delicious and appreciated. Overall, the restaurant clearly has the potential to serve very good food, but the inconsistency in both service and food quality left us disappointed.

I had dinner from Kahani during my recent visit to Passau. The restaurant is exquisitely furnished in Indian decor and well set up. There was also a lot of seating outside in the patio with a view of the Danube. I was on cycling trip in Germany along the Danube and was really missing the Indian cuisine. I had non veg thali and it brought in the real taste of the Indian dishes with the right amount of spices. Although it was late and near closing time they were kind enough to serve the food and drinks and also stayed a bit longer. I met Mr Asok kumar who is the owner and had good and interesting conversation with him.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The service was extremely slow, and we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive. To make matters worse, the food itself was below average and did not meet our expectations. I would rate the food 2 out of 5. Considering the long wait and poor food quality, the overall experience was not worth it.
