About Kabinettsgarten
Located at Alfons-Goppel-Straße, 80539 München, Kabinettsgarten operates as a garten- serving München in Bayern. Hiring a tradesperson in Germany works best with a clear brief: describe the job, ask for a written Kostenvoranschlag, agree on timing and payment stages, and confirm who supplies the materials. The quote should state whether 19% VAT is included, and a Meisterbetrieb or Innung membership is a sign of formal qualification. Many firms visit before quoting and then send the estimate by e-mail or WhatsApp, which leaves you a record of what was agreed. Keep the Handwerkerrechnung: part of the labour cost is tax-deductible.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–6 pm. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kabinettsgarten on 089 290671; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is residenz-muenchen.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Quiet and lovely atmosphere. Inside garden in morish style, with water sides and trees. You can relax and enjoy the city away of the main streets.

Excellent quiet place. Free of charge. Finding entrance is a bit tricky. I asked the cashier at a museum nearby, and he claimed that I have to pay for the garden, which is not true. It is completely free and funded by taxes, which apparently he is not happy about ("when I go on vacation I have to pay, why not you?"). After discovering that the garden is free, I have told him that he is misleading visitors and threatened to report this to the museum management. At this point, he claimed that he misunderstood me and thought that I was asking about the theater. Possible, but somehow I doubt that ("Kabinettsgarten" is hard to confuse with "Theater" in German). I pay my taxes in Germany too, yet, I think our gardens should remain free of charge for everyone including tourists.

A beautiful place where one can have some quality time with nature. Though it may be small, it is quite good. The place has an interesting history and a huge sum was spent for its renovation. For me this place was a good relaxing spot.

The Cabinet Garden (Kabinettsgarten) is a neat place to find on the east side of Residenz. In short, through a small opening next to the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche and near to the Crown Prince Rupprecht Fountain ( Kronprinz-Rupprecht-Brunnen) you will find a small, enclosed garden that was built in the early 19th century but only opened to the public around 15 years ago. Here you will find a few park benches, two aisles of grass and a handful of trees providing shade. In the middle of the garden there is a fountain and twin rectangular-shaped pools and nice rose bushes, which were in bloom during our June visit. Overall, we found Kabinettsgarten to be a neat little find while exploring the Residenz grounds. It is a place we'd like to visit again during future trips to Munich.
