I completed my A1 level German language course at the school today. I recommend this school highly as Insula has a very warm and supportive environment with vested attention by the teachers for every student. I have taken both - standard evening classes and an intensive courses and both were very pleasant learning experience. Thank you everyone at Insula 🫶

I attended my first A1.1 and A1.2 online lessons from Insula and what an absolute pleasure it was. Our teacher Lissi made the classes so much fun and full of learning. It never felt like I was attending an online lesson. The materials shared were all great quality and after the classes, our teacher would upload the sheets with answers. All in all, it is a very professional place and perhaps the best in Koln for a German language course. The pace of the lessons is just perfect.

If you want to learn German quickly and in a fun way, Insula is the right address. The atmosphere is very good. The teachers are not only very professional but also kind and friendly. I observe that in other courses, people who finish B2 still cannot speak German. From the first day you start Insula, you will start speaking. That is why you are at the right place. They also have online classes. It is useful to ask by e-mail.

I still cant believe how much my German has transformed in just 5 weeks! After living in Germany for a few years, I always felt horrible that I was still not able to express myself. I have taken other online courses. I have bought many grammar books. It's only until I've joined Insula for the daily intensive class that I feel I am finally "getting it" with German. The teachers here are not only professional, but they really know how to help their students learn without fears. Bit by bit, without realizing it, I was speaking German with confidence and fluency when I am off class and in my daily life. Finally, I feel I can fit in here in Germany because I am not shy or intimidated to speak anymore. One fair warning though, once you join Insula, you may not want to go to other schools anymore. This place is simply different. It's more like a family. It's intimate, it's hands on, both the students and teachers are friendly and helpful and the course simply work and it works fast! I am super happy and I totally recommend it!

I have attended classes for two weeks in May 2023 and 1.5 months in Summer. I can say that the teachers and the staff are very professional and enthusiastic about their job. The courses are focused on speaking skills and real-life situations, which is really what I was looking for. Totally worth the price. If I ever need to take new classes, I'll definitely go there, and of course, I would recommend Insula to anyone who wishes to learn German in a friendly environment with competent teachers.
