⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Attending the 10:30am Sunday Traditional Latin Mass at St. Afra Catholic Church was one of the most peaceful experiences of my time in Berlin. The moment the magnificent organ began to play and the choir lifted their voices, the entire church seemed to come alive. Even though I do not understand Latin, I never felt disconnected. The beauty of the sacred liturgy reminded me that the Catholic Church is truly universal. Wherever we are in the world, we worship the same Lord, celebrate the same Holy Eucharist, and profess the same faith. I was also deeply touched that the priests offered the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Mass from 10:00am to 10:20am. What a beautiful reminder of God’s mercy and a wonderful opportunity to prepare our hearts before receiving Our Lord. The church itself is stunning, filled with reverence, beautiful stained glass, and a prayerful atmosphere that draws your heart toward God. Seeing the restoration work taking place was also inspiring. It reminded me that just as churches need continual care and renewal, so do our souls. If you are visiting Berlin and are looking for a truly sacred and traditional Catholic experience, especially near Mauerpar

I was honestly suprised to find a Catholic Church in Berlin that still sticks to the Tridentine Mass. Once you step in through the main door, you feel detached from the outside world. They also have a wonderful choir. Fr Marco Piranty is an excellent Priest and is very friendly. Truly a servant of God. I also had the privilege of knowing the Late Fr Marcin Coral, an incredible figure by all means. May God rest his soul. If you are an inquirer into the faith, a catachumen or a Novus Ordo Catholic, then you should definitely attend the High Mass at 10:30 am on Sundays

My Favorite Church in Berlin This place feels like heaven on earth. The garden is beautiful, and the Latin Mass is truly sacred. Every time I attend, it feels like taking a spiritual shower—no need to think or try to understand. Just be there, and let the Holy Spirit do the work through the beauty of Gregorian chant. The priest’s sermon is always captivating. You might expect a long, boring Mass? Not here. It’s vibrant, alive, and full of devoted young people—many of them well-dressed (I mean, it’s beautiful when people put in the effort to dress up to praise the Most High). And there are these little altar boys holding candles, assisting the priest with such serious devotion. It’s honestly a gem to watch—so pure, yet so cute. Every time I see them, I think, If only my younger self had found this...maybe even become a priest! I’m filled with joy every time—like a little child resting in a mother’s arms. All the worries and noise in my head just disappear. Highly recommended, especially if you’ve never experienced a traditional Latin Mass. It’s powerful. The presence of God is real.
