Cars in Germany need the main inspection (Hauptuntersuchung, by TÜV or DEKRA) every two years, and a workshop that handles it for you is worth keeping in your contacts. Ask for an itemised estimate before work starts, check whether the price includes labour and VAT, and ask whether original or aftermarket parts are used. A Vertragswerkstatt costs more than an independent workshop but keeps the manufacturer's warranty intact, and winter tyres are required whenever conditions are wintry.
Opening hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Ingolstadt Nordbahnhof on 01806 996633; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, bahnhof.de.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 515 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.
Ingolstadt is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The main station is not clean; it was dirty, and there are many homeless people using drugs, which is shameful. I hope the city administration will also take care of the main station because it reflects well on the city. Thank you.

Pros: 1-Good located and actually very close to the university and the city center. 2- has a bus stop just outside the station connecting to most of the city and ZOB Cons: 1-Not a single store available and no yorma :/ 2- no regional connections to Regensburg.

I would definitely prefer to get on and off here rather than the main station in Ingolstadt. It’s cleaner here, the walk to the city is nicer than walking from the main station with the exception of passing the ricer view that’s better from the other side. The station has all the amenities you need

Easy to access. Platform layout is simple. Everything is handicap accessible. Only issue is with consistent delays of regional trains between Ingolstadt and Regensburg. Makes it impossible to depend on the trains as regular transportation for work. It's too bad.

the public toilet is always clean and the security guards there very helpful with everyone ( for directions to buses and trains ), and I like the small coffee shop over there with Spanish sweet employee.
