This hotel is in a great location but it does mean if driving you need to park in a public car park about 5 minutes walk away. I thought the best part of the hotel was its outside seating area for its bar/restaurant. There are lots of rooms and it doesn't have a boutique feel about it. Breakfast was okay but busy and not special. If you're on the wrong side of the hotel the adjacent weir is noisy. Our room didn't have air-conditioning and was warm. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was loud and on an automatic cycle that seemed to take ages to switch off. We couldn't access the WiFi internet while we were at the hotel. Staff noted the problem but couldn't solve it.

We stayed here for 3 nights and booked a room with the view of Old Hall. Let me first talk about the advantages of this place. ✅The room was super clean. ✅Breakfast starts at 06:30, perfect for early bird like us. ✅Location is good, most places are within walking distance. ✅A small fridge can keep your drinks cool. ⭕️No parking, but there’s a underground parking in 3 minutes walk, €18/day, it’s acceptable. ⭕️No airconditioning. ⭕️No bottle of water provided. ❌Very very very noisy and can smell the smoking whole day from the people downstairs, because of no airconditioning you need to keep the windows open in super hot summer. And the noise is also whole night, must use earplugs to sleep. ❌Because the first floor is a restaurant, everyone can enter the building and go upstairs to the rooms. ❌ The only chair in the room is under the TV, and your head will be touching the TV. ⚠️There's one last thing, which might seem more serious because it happened to us, or maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but I absolutely cannot accept the hotel's actions. Best hotel and location in Bamberg. We had the Hoy Suite with a view of the most photogenic place in Bamberg. Room was great, we slept undisturbed, nice shower, great breakfast and not to forget a friendly and service minded staff. We stayed as a family of 4 and recommend this hotel. No parking is though available, but there is a central public garage very close by.

Not only excellent located in middle of historic city, building itself is part of history and very well renovated. The basement of the hotel is an fine restaurant with traditional cuisine and serves between 07.30 and 10.30 am rich breakfast! PLEASE PARK BEFORE ARRIVING and a good choice was underground parking GEYERSWÖRTH just 5 minutes far away from hotel and is charging 18 Euro per day and provides as well cheap over-night-tariff.

Location right in the center, room was spacious and super clean. Nice variety for the Breakfast buffet, including meats, cheeses, bread, bacon, eggs and more. A very nice stay over new years🎇
