München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

This wasn't my first time here, but the first time with my wife. The first time, we sat in the beer hall and enjoyed the Oktoberfest vibe. This time, we sat in the bier garten. We were lucky to find a table, and our server was fast and friendly. The drinks were nice and the traditional food we got was on point. We stopped on the way out to hear the polka band inside. Like many places in the world, we wish they had a non-smoking section. I love beer and FRESH air. That's not the fault of the venue. I just wish a trend would start.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this huge beer hall. We were there on a 35 degree day so it was quite warm inside - I felt sorry for the musicians and all the waiters who had to work and boy do they work hard ! Hubby ordered the pork knuckle which several people had raved about while I ordered a small salad - the salad consisted of a lot of lettuce and kale with 2 cherry tomatoes and a balsamic dressing - not the best salad I've had 😐 The pork knuckle was huge - even hubby struggled to finish it all 😄 It's worth going and enjoying a beer just for the atmosphere - you'll also see the way the waiters carry huge numbers of full glasses all at the same time - seriously impressive.

Visiting Hofbräuhaus München is an absolute must when in Munich, and our dinner here did not disappoint! We arrived around 7:00 PM to a buzzing, energetic atmosphere. Unsurprisingly, the beer hall and the inner garden was packed to the brim with customers enjoying the lively evening. It took us about 10 minutes just to scope out two available seats, but the vibrant surroundings made the short wait go by in no time. Once seated, we quickly placed our drink orders. We tried a 500ml Dunkel (dark beer) and a massive 1L Russ'n (wheat beer mixed with lemonade). Both drinks were cold, incredibly fresh, and thoroughly delicious, a perfect, refreshing start to our meal. For the main course, we decided on two classic German staples: the HB sausage platter and the famous pork knuckle. The portions were huge! The pork knuckle had beautifully crisp skin with tender meat inside, and the selection of sausages was full of authentic, savory flavor. Everything tasted incredible and hit the spot after a busy day of exploring. What made the evening even better was the service. Despite how crowded and chaotic the hall was, our server was remarkably fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our vis

We had a great time at Hofbräuhaus München. The beer was excellent and full of flavor, making it easy to understand why this place is so popular. The traditional live music creates a lively Bavarian atmosphere that makes the visit feel special. The beer hall is always busy, with lots of people and plenty of energy. Because of the large crowds, service can take a little longer, and the tables and floors can become slightly untidy during peak hours. However, that’s understandable given how many guests are being served throughout the day. Overall, it’s an iconic place with great beer, authentic music, and a unique atmosphere. If you want to experience a classic Munich beer hall, this is definitely worth a visit.

When we first visited, we had the best service from Llanaj. He truly made us feel welcome and kept checking back on us to make sure we were okay. The next day we went, we couldn’t find him anymore and really missed his presence! The place is always full of laughter and crowds are always full so I hope whoever visits has enough socializing energy! The hall is big and great, the shop is pretty cool too. Get the bigger beers and Prok Belly! It’s absolutely delicious!!
