About Hexenhäusle
Hexenhäusle is one of the biergärten & brauhäuser listed in Nürnberg, Bayern. The business is registered at Vestnertorgraben 4, 90408 Nürnberg; use this page to check its opening hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0911 49029095. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is hexenhaeusle-nuernberg.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 2,538 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded biergärten & brauhäuser in Nürnberg.
Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Nürnberg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Our all-time favourite Schäufele! The meat practically slides off the bone and it’s so tender you barely need a knife. The pork skin is perfectly crisp and crackling, that crunch is simply ASMR-worthy. Pair it with a good ol’ Helles, and you’ve got yourself a proper Franconian meal.

Came here with my German family for casual dinner and well enjoyed it. Service was excellent- had several great beers and the food was delicious as well. The restaurant is thought to be an old witch’s house and is quaintly decorated and outside beer garden was very nice as well.

Hexenhäusle is a beautiful Biergarden. We walked from Nürnberg Hoptmarkt up to the Imperial Castle (5 or 6 mintues). Having visited Hexenhäusle on previous visits for drinks and enjoyed the Tucher Bier, we took some friends to try it out. Checked the menu and decided to eat. Most of the group ordered the Schaufele pork dish. Meat pulled from the bone and served with sliced fried potato and side salad. What a great meal. A very generous helping of meat which was tender, succullent and tasted amazing. The potato & salad were plentiful too. Amazing. The staff are very friendly and attentive and enjoyed some laughs with us. Schalke04 were in town and there were a few fans in but they were not overly loud considering they had won the championship and were in party mode. Lovely outdoor seating of varying sizes. We had a cool round table which seated 6 of us comfortably. Meal was €17 Beer around €5 Value for money 100% Total bill €142 (6 people) Tip 20% (well deserved) Hexenhäusle is a must vist, hidden gem if visiting Nürnberg. My 4th visit in 4 years and yet to be disappointed. Top marks.

Great looking restaurant used to be a genuine favorite for at least 2 years but the food now is unbearably salty and was impossible to eat, also very clearly not made in house (if that is something you care about). Service was beyond exceptional however I did see our waiter go to the bathroom and he in fact did not wash his hands (EEEYUCKKK😐). It was in general really awkward because absolutely no body was there and so the vibe was somewhat uncomfortable. Would recommend for drinks but certainly not for food anymore and I would highly recommend sitting in the biergarten. I would also say the prices are too high now for what it actually is. Do not go here, it will be sad

Perfect chilling spot. Very friendly and polite. service Cosy place with character and away from crowds despite just around the corner of city centre. Cold beer on draft and amazing pretzels. What else you need for quick stop rest.
