About Havana Club

Kubanische Cocktailbar und Eventlocation in der zentralen Münchener Altstadt. Authentisches, kubanisches Flair mit Premium Rum Erlebnis seit über 30 Jahren.

Located at Herrnstraße 30, 80539 München-Altstadt-Lehel, Havana Club operates as a bar serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bar, veranstaltungsraum, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 18:00–01:00. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 291884. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is havanaclub-muenchen.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 1,195 reviews, which is a strong result for a bar in München and suggests consistent service.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

If you’re a fan of rum or just love a well-crafted cocktail in a beautiful setting this bar is an absolute must visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly cool. The lighting is warm and inviting, the décor strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern edge, and there’s a subtle island vibe that pays homage to the bar’s rum focused roots without feeling overdone. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and they’re more than happy to walk you through the menu or suggest something off the beaten path. As for the cocktails; expect creativity and precision. Each drink showcases the versatility of rum, from smoky and bold to light and tropical. Whether you’re sipping on a classic daiquiri or a signature house creation, the quality is consistently top-notch. This place isn’t just a bar it’s an experience. Perfect for date nights, small gatherings, or anyone looking to unwind in style.

I was in Munich on a business trip, and this bar was close to my hotel. After a long and tiring day, I wanted to find a place to relax, and as soon as I walked in, I knew this was my kind of place. At 8 PM, it wasn’t too crowded, which made it even better. The bartender, a stylish and skilled lady, quickly mixed my cocktail, and it was absolutely delicious. The music was great too—mostly popular hits. The overall atmosphere was just perfect. I really hope I get a chance to come back here the next time I’m in Munich.

With one day prior reservation, we could find a place at 8pm on Friday. Some cocktails are pretty delicious while others are average, with my favorite one being granatum daiquiri. White Russian was also pretty delicious with baileys (we specifically asked it with baileys). Pina colada was not good unfortunately, it was too much coconut flavoured. The service was friendly and they were also helping for special cocktail requests. The portions are smaller compared to other places but they make the cocktails with a remarkable amount of alcohol, so after 2 cocktails we were already tipsy:)

If you are looking for a late night bar and cocktails - this is the best choice. Service is nice and fully prepared to make you cocktails by your preferencies. They also offer many kinds of rums from countries from all over the world. We tried many mixed drinks from a wide selection. Jar of water and crisps are served with drinks. The bar has a great cozy atmosphere with subdued lighting. Toilets are clean. I recommend.

What an amazing and cozy place, the staff is super friendly and the cocktails are very close to how we prepare them in Cuba, some are even better. There was too much Fidel Castro images for my own preference. I think there is much more to show from Cuba than the image of a dictator, but that's political and not related to this amazing place
