Medical services in Bayern range from neighbourhood practices to university hospitals. Bring your insurance card, any previous test results and a list of medications you take. Your Hausarzt (family doctor) is normally the first stop and issues the referral (Überweisung) that specialists and hospitals ask for. Pharmacies (Apotheken) are separate businesses that dispense the prescription you are handed, and every district keeps a Notdienst rota so that one pharmacy is open at night and on Sundays.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 8:30 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0931 3527740. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is haas.life, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 from 74 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Würzburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Würzburg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Vielen Dank an GABRIEL
