About Guido Al Duomo

Located at Frauenplatz 12, 80331 München-Altstadt-Lehel, Guido Al Duomo operates as an italienisch serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–12 am. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 089 24231690. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, guidoalduomo-muc.de.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 875 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italienisch & pizza in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Good Italian food! Very expensive! Warm waiters! I had Green Asparagus with Parmesan ! They had it with white asparagus. Fresh and delicious! For main I had Tagalioni Truffle! That was amazing with smell of Truffle oil! Real fine dining! Tiramusu to end the meal! But that was out of world as well! They moved us to celler from main restaurant as more colleagues joined us then planned.

We came across this restaurant and happened to taste the best pasta we had! The pasta may look average but the taste is flavourful and ingredients are very fresh. The service is amazing too!

One of our favorite family restaurants. High-quality, fresh Italian cuisine with consistently excellent standards. The fish and pasta are always perfectly prepared, and the desserts are delicious. A place we truly enjoy returning to with our family.

I enjoyed the Spaghetti Bolognese, although it wasn't really special. The staff and location are great, especially for a fall afternoon at an outdoor table. Tucked back off the main path through old town. Very nice, would certainly eat here next time I'm in Munich. Espresso was really smooth.

The waiter was warm and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout our meal. The food was enjoyable with generous portions, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant enough for a lunch out. That said, the prices felt far too high for what was offered, especially when compared to other Italian restaurants in Munich that deliver similar or better quality for less. Quietly rated: worth stopping with big pockets.
