Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is gittis-waldwirtschaft.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 1,113 reviews, which is a strong result for a biergärten in Haar and suggests consistent service.
Haar is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Haar is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Wonderful place where you feel like home. Family, seniors and animal friendly, family business with tradition and good food. I'll definitely come again.

Nice place. Food has good price quality ratio. The service was not great: long wait time, the waitress made mistakes and then said it was ours… but all in all a good place!

We had an excellent experience at Gitti’s. The service is diligent and kind, and the food served warm and punctual. The parking was quite easy once you drive in at the gate entrance. We will definitely return again soon. All our meals were absolutely delicious.
