Regensburg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in Regensburg, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Georg-Hegenauer Park offers a serene escape with its lush greenery and well-maintained grounds. The park's peaceful atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quiet afternoon picnic. The variety of flora adds to the park's charm, creating a delightful environment for nature enthusiasts. However, some visitors may find the park lacking in recreational facilities, so it may be more suited for those seeking a tranquil retreat rather than active pursuits. Really nice park. Place for chilling, relax. Park with playing with water flows is always with a nice view to the city. Children have enough space to play, pedestrian and also bike way. The park is always clean and good maintained. Good concept!
