It was a first time visit to Munich and we wanted to eat German foods. The first restaurant we went turned us away citing full reservations. We decided to try this restaurant and we were surprised by how good the food was. We felt welcome here and therefore it made the foods tasted even better.

What a cute little cultural mainstay. They specialize in northern German cusine. I caught their Grünkohl season. I would say they make a mean Bratkartoffeln, highly recommend. From what I'm told by true locals the taste is authentic. Gigantic portions. Accommodating staff. Best to make a reservation because the insides are not too big.

This is as classic nord Deutschland as on can get in Munich. It is a gem and a cultural landmark. A ton of charm and unique atmosphere. Average age is 127 but that is what makes is perfect for a tired corporate powerpoint ninja.

Excellent food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Very reasonable pricing. Good wholesome food. Exactly what we were looking for. Yes it's a little far out from the centre but no more than 10 minutes on a scooter.

Such a lovely owner and staff, great beer and whiskey selection. This is the friendliest local in the heart of Schwabing West

Walked into this place on Fat Tuesday while on business trip from LA. Everyone was in costumes. They were celebrating carnival. Great people great atmosphere....Don't know how it is usually but if it's the same neighborhood folks then I would recommend going and telling them Muslim Jesus sent you.
