Eating out in Germany runs from a quick Döner at an Imbiss to a long evening in a Gasthaus, and a listing like this one is best judged on freshness, turnover and how consistent the reviews are rather than on decor. Lunch menus (Mittagstisch) are usually the best value, menu prices already include 19% VAT and service, and many kitchens close between lunch and dinner. Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–11 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0841 35272. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is gasthausdaniel.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 2,185 reviews, which is a strong result for a deutsche in Ingolstadt and suggests consistent service.
Ingolstadt is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Ingolstadt is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Great place to grab a bite and relax. Amazing food, great local beer, and a wonderful location.

Best Beer garden in town, we are visiting from the US and went there twice already. Food is amazing besides all the delicious Bavarian food such as pork knuckles which according to my hubby was super delicious, they also have lots of local and seasonal options, plus vegetarian and much better suited for my preference. Will be back!

Went on a Sat evening. This restaurant was packed with locals. Took around 30 mins for the food to be served. Need to share table too. Waiter was unfriendly maybe because they are too busy 😂😂

Had an amazing evening at Gasthaus Daniel. The food was delicious Bavarian fare and the live entertainment, two gentlemen with accordions, was perfect. The weather was lovely so I sat in the biergarten and soaked in the atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly and the service was quick. The garden itself is very cozy, with warm lights, candles, and comfortable tables throughout. An excellent evening.

Great Bavarian food, typical Bavarian restaurant and setup. Can be very noisy but depends on crowd. Schäufele was amazing. Leberknödel Soup too! Good beer selection.
