About Gasteig Parkgarage

Located at Rosenheimer Str. 5, 81667 München-Au-Haidhausen, Gasteig Parkgarage operates as a parkhäuser serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

For anything on wheels, from a tyre change to a new vehicle, the basics apply: confirm the price up front, ask about the warranty on parts and labour, and get a receipt. Third-party insurance is compulsory, and the dealer will usually arrange the registration (Zulassung) and number plates for you. Busy periods are the tyre-change weeks in spring and autumn and the days before the summer holidays, and breakdown cover through ADAC or your insurer is worth having.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 6:30 am–11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is 0800 7275737. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, ps-huefner.de.

Its Google rating stands at 3.0 out of 5 from 199 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Perfect parking to visit Gasteig. One can leave warm clothes on the car and go see the performance without the need of wardrobe. Parking is automatic (no ticket needed, just remember your licence plate number) and accepts credit cards.

Avoid this place. No card payments, €50 notes not accepted, and no staff available to assist. I had to leave the premises to find smaller change just to pay. The intercom support was unhelpful and unfriendly. Overall, a frustrating experience — I would recommend choosing another parking facility.

Good spot to drop your car nearby city center. Enough space for all car types. Only negative point is cash only exit. 2023 price is 3€/h.

No cards accepted, just cash in COINS(!). Who has nowadays 10 Euro in coins??? This totally unacceptable for customers, running through the night to find coins. No service available, stay away!

One star for convenient location if you visit the Gasteig. The machines for payments do not take 50-euro bills, but the ATM upstairs only gives out 50 euro bills. Only EC card acceptance and that function is not working. No agent on duty to change money, need to run across the street to get some small bills at 11 pm. Jesus, Germans seem to really love their cash, what century are we living in? The whole world is switching to cashless transactions, but noooo, not the land of ideas.
