Forsthaus Dechsendorf

Spontaneously went her for lunch on a public holiday and enjoyed it very much: I was promptly seated and brought a menu. Also the ordered drink and food was delivered quite quickly despite the restaurant being well occupied. Food was plenty and delicious. The only small downside was a very annoying small child crying and squealing non-stop which was frowned upon by many customers. Neither did the parents take steps to stop it (only after 30 min the father finally took the child outside) nor did the staff ask the parents to take measures. I don’t have issues with small children being a bit noisy, but that this was unacceptable considering length and noise level.

It is a nice biergarten, service and location is great. But the food is a bit too expensive for the quality they offer. I was very surprised than the Schnitzel dish is 27€. It is a bit too much in my opinion. The plates look fancy but the quality is just ok, for example the Schäuferla is 20€ vs 15€ that is in other biergarten.

A true German beer garden experience. Friendly staff, great local food, amazing scenery at sunset with a lake view. Loved it!

The food always tastes excellent. Have a stroll round the lake before or after food. Every time going there gives me smile.
