It, is a striking example of late Gothic architecture. Built in the early 16th century, it reflects the city’s strong Reformation heritage and has served as a Protestant place of worship since 1526. Its elegant interior features a high vaulted nave, simple yet harmonious décor, and fine stained-glass windows. The church symbolizes Augsburg’s religious diversity and its historic role in shaping Protestant identity.

Die Kirche ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert und steht ihrem großen Bruder nebenan in nichts nach. Die Kirche entstand aus einer Vorhalle, von St. Ulrich, welche den Pilgern als eine Art Markthalle diente und den Augsburger Bürgern als Grablege. Im Jahr 1457 erfolgte ein erster Umbau zu einem Predigthaus der Benediktiner. Um das Jahr 1500 bekam mit der Neuerrichtung der Basilika auch die Ulrichskirche ihre heutige Form. Im Jahre 1526 wurde das Gotteshaus den Protestanten als Pfarrkirche übertragen. Im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert erfuhr die Kirche mehrere Umgestaltungen und 1709/10 entschloss sich die Gemeinde für einen grundlegenden Umbau, da die Kirche unter anderem renovierungsbedürftig war. Dabei erhielt sie ihre heutige barocke Form. Persönlich liebe ich die Stile des Barock egal ob wuchtig und prunkvoll bei katholischen Kirchen oder wie hier einen einfachen Stuck an der Decke.

Eine Wunderschöne Kirche ist auf jeden Fall ein Versäumnis hie nicht drinnen gewesen zu sein

it is a protestant church from the 1700's with baroque style. decorated with paintings from the old and new Testament. wood and golden style signifies the interior architecture.
