Had the exactly horrible experience as one of the lady shared as below, the “gentleman”yell at me in front of my son saying you can’t take photos, I said I was just check a brand I wanted to buy online. But he then looked me like watching a thief. Later he also put his hand on his ear to pretend he can’t hear me, it was very disgraceful. I went to the stationary shop and want to buy some fountain pen, but the experience is horrible and if the service quality is like this I would rather don’t have the service and never been to this shop. Agreed with the lady before, will never go there again!!

Rude staff, never felt so unwelcomed in a store despite getting excited to purchase a number of supplies. I will spend my money elsewhere. You may have a different experience. They offer great range and selection of products which didn’t match the service.

Magical Experience! I first went to Mont Blanc in Munich to purchase a new fountain pen. The lady sales assistant was extremely rude and dismissive. She looked me up and down, making judgements on my socioeconomic status. Completely disheartened about the pen purchasing experience. I then went to Ellenwoods and was completely impressed as I was almost turned away from buying a new fountain pen. I was greeted and almost welcomed in like I was part of the family. I was shown different pens that ranged in price, suitability and rarity. I purchased two Mont Blanc pens with ink, had them engraved and ready for collection the next day. It is easy to say that when you purchase these items at a higher price point that you expect a memory. Something to remind you of the experience that money can’t buy. I experienced this and more from Ellenwoods. The passion for pens was infectious and can’t thank them enough for making my day and for convincing me that wholesome, caring and thoughtful people still exist. Safe to say that if you want a personal experience from people that care about you then bypass the boutiques and treat yourself to an experience and not simply just a number.

I visited Ellenwoods for the first time today, during a multi-day stay in Munich, in order to buy a couple fountain pens from one of my favorite brands. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered, let me browse for a while, and were ready with abundant information and advice, including testing a few of the pens before I was ready to buy. The shop is now a must-visit for me every time I come to Munich!
