Bakeries open early and are the one shop you can count on for a Sunday morning.

Bayreuth is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Bayreuth is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Truly disappointing; I saw something very appetizing on Uber Eats, but I received something very different and disappointing.

Amazing restaurant and staff. The food was great. Me and the wife had date night here and the restaurant exceeded our expectations. This restaurant will be in our weekend restaurant rotation for here on out. Top tier in my opinion!!

My friends and I went to this restaurant while we were studying abroad in Germany, and it was the best meal we have had so far during the three weeks we have been here. The atmosphere was great, modern, and really cute. Our waiter was friendly, funny, and gave great recommendations for people who didn't know what they wanted. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. There were zero issues with our meal. I got the tacos birria champi, cheese tostones, and the chocolate empandada. We talked to one of the owners, Valentina, and she was the nicest and sweetest person ever. I could not recommend stopping in more if you have time for lunch or dinner while you are in Bayreuth.

The restaurant is super cozy and the arepas were delicious. The waitress Franka was very kind as well. I wish you all the success in the world!

A Taste of Venezuela in Bayreuth! I recently had the pleasure of dining at “El Pasapalo,” and it was an absolute delight! As a Venezuelan living in Germany, finding authentic Venezuelan cuisine is like stumbling upon a treasure chest. “El Pasapalo” didn’t just meet my expectations; it transported me back home for a while. I had the opportunity to savor various dishes, and each one was a flavorful journey. The Sancocho was hearty and comforting, although a bit salty for my taste, the Arroz con Pollo was a burst of deliciousness, and the Empanaditas and Tequeños were simply addictive. However, the highlight of the night was the Quesillo – a typical dessert that was nothing short of incredible, it was so good it brought me back to my childhood. The attention to authenticity in flavors and the warm ambiance made our dining experience memorable. A special note of gratitude to the staff for their superb attention. Their friendliness and hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to our evening. My wife and I are already planning our next visit to Bayreuth, and “El Pasapalo” will undoubtedly be on our list. If you’re craving a taste of Venezuela or simply want to explore new and delic
