The food was good and portion size was surprisingly very good as well. Its in a nice location and the staff was friendly. They even let us pay separately and split the bill among 10 people.

Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. One thing I liked was that the menu included photos of the dishes, which made choosing much easier. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The platter took a bit longer to arrive, but the rest of the food was served quickly. Card payments are accepted, which is convenient. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

We ordered a mix of dishes — Mexican platter, mixed enchiladas, burrito supreme, and the ElChapoBurger — which made it easy to compare flavors and preparation. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and properly cooked. The portion sizes are generous, so you definitely don’t leave hungry. Compared with Zapata, the food here simply feels more carefully prepared and a bit more refined. The ingredients taste fresher and the dishes feel less “standardized Tex-Mex.” The espresso martinis were another pleasant surprise: strong, flavorful, and well made. Slightly on the sweet side depending on your taste, but I personally enjoyed them. Service was relaxed and friendly, fitting the casual neighborhood atmosphere. Overall: If you're in Neuhausen and deciding between the Mexican options nearby, El Chapo currently delivers the better food experience. Neuhausen already has a few Mexican spots, most notably Zapata just around the corner. After trying both, I’d say El Chapo clearly wins when it comes to food quality.

The staff is really nice and friendly. The food is Not Original tex Méx, the price too high for the quality. Impossible to find a parking close by.
