First I want to separate the teachers from the review. They are nice, they make classes fun, explain the material well and answer my stupid off-topic questions (shoutout to Tom, Melike and Anton). The organization though is so horrendous, that overall the score is still well within one star rating. They have repeatedly forgot to provide me important information which resulted in me: - Showing up to cancelled classes - Missing moved classes - Relying on teachers and groupmates to figure out what happens around public holidays. - Reminding that I have in fact already paid 2 months ago and that I was promised to be registered for the next available class - Being a part of overpopulated class with ~15 people and stuffed in a small room that is not meant to hold this many people. I want to specifically focus on the last incident because that was the last straw for me. The story goes as such: The course is nearing the end and I am expecting to receive an invitation to the next one, because that's how it happened before. At the end of the second to last class I find out from groupmates that everyone has received everything already but I was somehow excluded from the list. I decide to

The good: Christina - the best teacher I had and i wish I could have her for every class! The teaching quality really varies but most are very kind and I liked them. My grievances: They shorten the class if you have less than 8 students do you pay the full amount, but don't get the full time. They mix up the order of your levels based on students (example taking B1.2 before B1.1) - I like order of learning and changing the teachers after does not help because teachers gloss over lots of book material. The management is not very flexible. Rising costs of classes (inflation, I get it). Learning a language is really what you put into it. The school is only one part of it.

I really like the teachers and how the classes are run. Usually, there are about 6-7 people in the group, no more. The teachers give everyone individual attention, and every student actively participates during the lesson. You can feel the progress right away. Another huge plus is that the students are just like you - well-educated young Expats, who are working here in Munich, hence are very motivated to learn German, so we easily connect with each other. I've already made friends with many of them, and we hang out outside of class, so I've found new friends!😊 And that makes every lesson enjoyable, which also helps with overall learning. Btw, our favorite teacher is Julia! We adore her❤she's sooo sweet, kind, and positive. Such a sunshine!☺️ She really tries to make sure everyone understands, and German sounds cute and somehow very pleasant when she speaks it😄 She's truly a talented teacher! 👍 As for the downsides, I remember that at the beginning (maybe because it was summer), we kept changing teachers, which led to some disorganization. But that issue was gone by early fall. Another downside I can mention is that some classrooms don’t have windows, so the ventilation isn’t great.

If you want more than just grammar drills, and boring text books, this is the place to be. After trying a few schools in Munich I finally found Edeltraud 😻. Movie nights, Sunday brunch, lots of opportunities to mingle and experience real life situations. I super recommend! Love the teachers, love the atmosphere, love the prices too 😉 Wir sehen uns dort! Tschüss 🤗

The school offers a lot integrating events, where a lot of people from everywhere come together. Highlight is the monthly brunch, conversations and boardgames from Stella and Manu :) Great for getting to know new people and learning German at the same time
