Medical services in Bayern range from neighbourhood practices to university hospitals. Bring your insurance card, any previous test results and a list of medications you take. Your Hausarzt (family doctor) is normally the first stop and issues the referral (Überweisung) that specialists and hospitals ask for. Pharmacies (Apotheken) are separate businesses that dispense the prescription you are handed, and every district keeps a Notdienst rota so that one pharmacy is open at night and on Sundays.
No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. You can reach Dr.med.vet. Gilbert Fehle Tierarzt on 09404 4672; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is tierarzt-fehle.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 77 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tierärzte & tierkliniken in Pettendorf.
Pettendorf is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Pettendorf is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

It was short notice when we called Dr. Gilbert for our dog’s rabies vaccine going back to Uk . He immediately booked us despite his busy schedule. He’s very knowledgeable and skilful doctor. Examined our dog, explained to us everything in English professionally. We will definitely be back to him when our dog needs to see a doctor.
