Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Nürnberg is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

My wife came here for a finger xray after an injury at Rock im Park. Everyone was very professional and friendly, even late at night and even though we did not speak much German. Frau Kraus kindly processed us into the hospital, and it took around 1.5 hour total from arrival until departure. Professional staff.

I came in a week ago via ambulance to the emergency room with a very bad injury to my finger which I sustained in a gym. The paramedics from the ambulance explained to the nurse that I do not speak German. Instead of making me feel welcomed and ready to help, she said to me “you live here? So you sit and you learn German” shook her head and walked away leaving me in the corridor. This took me by surprise as I do not expect this kind of treatment to someone who clearly is not having the best day seeing as I was badly injured. This made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome and even though I have health insurance, I felt as though I don’t deserve to be looked after. This comment really made my day worse and I cannot believe that this is how your nurses speak to patients that are not German speaking. I would also like to report the lack of hygiene. After my x-ray was completed, I went in to the nurses office to get my finger fixed. She was typing on the computer and touching her desk and then, no gloves, no hygiene spray, no nothing… she takes the anaesthesia needle and carelessly puts it in my finger twice. I expressed my pain as she was only using one hand and was clearly putti

I did not like the way they are treating with patients, i payed 130 euros and expected a decent service as human being. i stayed at emergency with very painful back and leg and waited for almost 3 hours. They keep saying they have more urgent patients, i can understand that, but many others came after me with much less situation than mine. At the end i left the hospital without getting my money back 130 euros

Most of the nursing staff were wonderful. Really kind, helpful women. The food was horrible, the facilities are dated. Parking was very expensive. It appears my shoulder replacement went well. I do not recommend going to hospital over a German holiday; very few services available over this weekend. Nurses remained cheerful - the highlight of my stay! The duty Doctors were informative.

Incompetent staff. Self entitled arrogant staff. Rude staff. ...and Lazy. A place to avoid!!! They do speak English but the lady doc asked me to “maybe you try” German instead when I was going into medical terms. She also laughed and made fun at the recount of the accident and wrote derogatory notes in the medical report and dismissed that there may be pain involved. She gave me no medical explanation as to what happened, what was or wasn’t fractured or spread, what to do, and she just told me to “go home” although I could not walk... I had to wait for hours in an abandoned dark corridor with no clue as to how long it would take, what’s going on, and what’s next. The doctors pretend to answer all important phone calls although they at the same time just smirk at the useless questions asked by their interlocutor and almost stuff their phones into their patients face, as if it were my fault someone calls them. The diagnosis was incorrect, which caused a 10 days delay in the start of the treatment and prolonged the “downtime” when I couldn’t function properly. This place should be relegated to a village medical center with no electricity and running water, and would make just the
