DJH Jugendherberge Berlin-International

Booked thro' Booking.com, never going to use them. Booking.com was totally misleading, not true. It's a YOUTH HOSTEL. How difficult is that to spell out on the particulars. Plus the "total" price quoted was false, "extras" were added to final bill. Was going to cancel & relocate, but the facilities are ultra clean (even if at hostels, you make your own bed), breakfast was awesome, room had nice shower & separate toilet which was better than most hotels. Staff are fluent in English, fluent in being brilliant & professional (unlike Booking.com & 200 young teenagers stopping there).

DJH Jugendherberge Berlin International/Youth Hostel is a good option to discover Berlin not only for the typical backpackers, but also for any tourist or visitor, who is not looking for luxury, but a safe and affordable place to stay. The reception is doing a great job, especially the younger guys are friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered can compete with the one at four star hotels. The room was clean, the furniture a bit used, but acceptable. The bedclothes were perfectly clean and ironed. The bathroom was relatively new, there is the only problem with the mold, there they could pay more attention to. In the lobby at the reception you can get cold and hot drinks, cocktails and some snacks and food for very affordable prices for all budgets. You find also some vendor machines and a photo machine in the lobby and safe service is also available against a symbolic fee.

A great place to get some rest. Closet to transportation. Rooms are OK. Yes they old but if you like me. I just need a bed and I good. The evening staff are super friendly and helpful. I have visited 7 different one this one is top 3. If I have to come back to Berlin I'm definitely coming back here

Excellent stay – affordable, clean & super friendly staff I had a wonderful stay at DJH Jugendherberge Berlin International. It is extremely affordable, hygienic, and very well located. For just €40, I had a private room with my own bathroom, a clean and comfortable bed, bed linen included, and a pretty good breakfast included in the price. They also offer a great extra service where you can pack your own lunch for €6.50, which is very convenient. The hostel is super central, which made it perfect for my stay in Berlin. I was attending a program by The Art of Living at the JW Marriott, and this hostel allowed me to stay very comfortably and affordably for the entire duration of the program. The staff truly deserve special mention — incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, even in the middle of the night. They kindly helped me get hot water so I could fill my thermos, which I really appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, affordable, and welcoming place to stay in Berlin!
