München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. For directions in München, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

Avoid this place if you have literally any other housing option in Munich. The rooms are acceptable but quite small, especially given the high rent. The main issue, however, is the management company. There is no direct email address or phone number (only an emergency number) and also no personal contact. Communication is only possible through an app, where responses are often delayed or never come at all, especially when the topic is inconvenient for them. Tenants are not taken seriously. A clear example was the hot water issue last year: for around three months, there was no hot water in the evenings. Despite repeated complaints, the issue was not resolved in a reasonable timeframe, and updates were vague and meaningless. There were also serious problems regarding the handling of deposits. I was informed that my room had been left in extremely poor condition, with charges of 1100 EUR for painting and 600 EUR for cleaning. The move-out report contained statements that did not reflect the actual condition of the room, and there was no proper opportunity to comment or correct them. I was also asked to transfer an additional 160 EUR because the deposit supposedly did not cover all

The last 9 days applied for a parking space. No reply, no update although I sent documents that had a lot of personal info. Faster to get a bank loan and a better customer experience than deal with these cowboys. Totally useless. Edit: still no reply from the application I made 3 weeks ago. Useless x3

Been living here since 2022. It’s been 3 years now. Big kudos to the responsible Hausmeister Herr Bajric, who is super responsive to the request and helped a lot! And it’s a great complement to the Zimmerei App, in which the staff used to be quite responsive and quick. But now I opened ticket for a week with no response. Therefore I reached out to the Hausmeister directly and he fixed the issue in my room within 1 hour.

Lived there for 5 years. Great location and everything, but they do everything they can when leaving, so as not to give your deposit back, especially targeting international students. As they have less experience with the bureaucracy in Germany.

I have been living here for 3 years, but since Die Zimmerei took over, it's a complete chaos. There is no longer a house administrator in the office and the only way you can communicate with them is through the app, where they take for ever to respond if they ever respond. The apartments are greatly located and are well maintained but the prices just aren't justified. I can't recommend to anyone to live in "Die Zimmerei" because it is a mess. 2 Stars for the great apartments, 0 stars for the management
