Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Cute selection of toys and games. The owner is a lovely, sweet man who is very helpful and friendly. I was allowed to take my time to browse through without anyone hovering around me.

Not sure why everyone has had a negative experience, could be that people let their children do what they want knowing there are expensive toys in the shop. As a black American couple we felt welcome and I was able to exchange a snow globe I got (wouldn’t be allowed on plane) and she was very helpful about it. I purchased a handmade toy and she wrapped it up nicely for me. This isn’t a place to bring your children to play/roam/touch. Go to the toy museum if you want your kids to play. Shop owners do not need to kiss your behind!

Spent a week in Germany and the owner/sales lady of this location was the only unfriendly individual we encountered on our trip. First, she actually yelled at me to close the store door, as if I had left it open in the cold. I didn't, there was elderly couple slowly walking thru behind me. I immediately thought she was a bit aggressive and strange for the "yelling." Next, I touched/looked at/examined a hand puppet on the wall as I was doing Christmas shopping. She immediately berates me for playing with the toys and reminds me that they are not to be played with. She was excessively angry so I apologized to smooth out the tension. We decided to leave after this occurrence. I wouldn't recommend shopping here. The owner/sales lady doesn't seem at all like a very good person, nor do I feel like she is a very happy person. I believe she needs to find another occupation. *I believe this is my first Google review, but I felt inclined to share my negative review

Extremely unfriendly shop owner, refused to speak to me on the phone when I was very kindly just asking about product availability so that I wouldn’t have to drive for hours for no reason. Never understand shop owners who hate dealing with people, they must just enjoy ruining someone’s day. Cannot recommend it, we spend lots on local shops we go buy as we value good service and brick and mortar shops, but this shop owner is just ghastly if she thinks hanging up on people is the way to treat another human being. AVOID!

We came in on a virtual high from the doll and toy museum (highly recommend!) and were searching for some German toys— read as: ready to spend money! I do not know why in the world this woman would choose to own a toy store when she obviously despises children. I was approached (accosted?) as soon as I entered the store. We said we were just looking around to see what we find and she replied with clear disgust, “Oh. Fine.” I have three very well-behaved daughters. I am complimented frequently on their good behavior. I am under no illusions that they are perfect but I can assure you that their behavior was great at that moment because they wanted me to buy them something! Almost immediately, my youngest daughter accidentally dropped a small plastic case of beads and of course it opened right up and spilled on the floor. THIS is when it got ugly and quickly. I was mortified and very apologetic and asked my husband to take her outside as I could see that she shop owner was agitated and I felt nervous. We helped her clean the beads up (9 euro for this small set of beads that doesn’t even stay in its cheap plastic case!) and at first she tells me that she understands, she has children,
