I needed to exchange smaller euro bills to 100 euro bills before my departure from EU. I came at 11am, there were 36 people ahead of me. Don’t wait at the end of the queue! Walk to the glass door with word KASSE and take a turn from the machine. It took an hour to wait. And then about 30 seconds once I got to the booth. Lady was very friendly, she didn’t speak English, so google translate helped to explain what I wanted. She didn’t ask for an ID. Just checked the bills, counted and gave me 100 euro bills in exchange. They close at 12.00 but if you get in line before that, you’ll be served even after noon.

Super easy, quick and free of charge, they changed my coins to bank notes. Do not go to these vending machines which cost you a lot as percentage!

Terrible service! There are many reviews which aren't verified. Mine is not verified yet. What is happening? Maybe because reviews about bad service are blocked??

Superb experience! I had a very dry and completely ripped euro note and wasn't really expecting them to exchange it but I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the process went. Went on a Monday morning at 9: entered the building, climbed up a floor, took a waiting number, there wasn't any wait so was called right in, gave my torn note, was immediately handed the new note; no questions asked, no ID check, etc; and walked right out. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Would highly recommend it. Wish they had more branches around Berlin for such note exchange processes though, or other regular banks could do this.
