This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. This listing does not fit neatly into one of our main categories, which is common for businesses that combine several activities under one roof. With 3.9 out of 5 on Google from 151 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for zentralbank in München. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

So easy to exchange old DMs and swap Euro small change for notes. Super friendly staff. Very effizient.

Went there to change some notes to 50 cent coins. I was surprised by the nice and quick service despite the negative comments here.

I cannot understand how the national bank has no facility for withdrawing money via ATM or exchanging money using a card. In 2024. Don’t come here without cash, otherwise you’ve a 20 minute walk to the nearest machine…

I could exchange 80€ for the equivalent in 50 cent coins for my washing machine easily here. Personnel was very friendly. There was a short queue at 9:30, but other than that it was very quick.

I was a bit off put by the reviews, but it was very nice. The queue was empty at 10:00, and the cashier was professional and she spoke English with me. It took less than a minute to replace my 3 ripped bank notes. Exactly what I was expecting and exactly what I needed.
