Today my wife visited this store to buy shoes for our children. Our two-year-old son started crying because he wanted a pair of Spider-Man shoes and, as often happens with children that age when they don't get what they want, he had a tantrum. What shocked us was the reaction of one of the sales assistants, a young blonde woman, who asked my wife to leave the store because our son was crying. In a shop that specializes in children's shoes, I find this attitude completely unacceptable. Young children cry, get frustrated and have tantrums. That is a normal part of childhood. What upset us even more was that the employee made comments suggesting that if our son was crying, it was because he had some kind of problem. We found this deeply inappropriate, disrespectful and offensive. We understand that a crying child can sometimes be inconvenient, but a minimum level of empathy and professionalism should be expected, especially when dealing with families and young children. We hope the store management reviews this incident and ensures that families are treated with more respect in the future. After this experience, we will certainly never return to this store.

Very inconsistent service. One Deichmann store accepted my return with a photo of the receipt, while another refused it. Customers should receive the same service and information in every store.

I was told I couldn’t try the shoes barefoot and had to wear my socks but my socks were too thick to properly check the fit. No disposable socks or alternative was offered and the staff member came across as quite rude saying other customers would not buy the shoes if I tried them on like that. I was ready to purchase but I left without buying due to the experience.

Friendly and helpful staff who were very kind during the visit. Unfortunately, the inventory was quite limited and there weren’t many good options available. Service was great, but the store could definitely improve the selection
