About Crönlein

Located at Am Nockherberg 8, 81541 München-Au-Haidhausen, Crönlein operates as a bar serving München in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 6–10 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Crönlein on 089 21562990; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is croenlein.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 188 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded bars, pubs & kneipen in München.
München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was probably unlucky, but on the day I finally visited after planning for so long, a singer (of sorts) was tormenting us with his voice and guitar, while a woman burned incense right in our faces, making us feel nauseous so the experience was far from pleasant. However the place is cute (if you don’t mind super uncomfortable seating) and the location quite unique and tranquil (minus the artist and the scent on the day of our visit).

A very cozy place in good weather for the area. I especially love the atmosphere in the evening with the fairy lights. It gives a holiday sensation in the middle of the city. The staff is friendly. Also quite interesting considering the "history of the place". 4 stars because of the prices, which for the location are a bit high I'd say.

Even years later, a great place to hang out in the summer. The staff is super friendly, the bar is very cute, the seating area is on the stone stairs or some tables and chairs outside. Really Great location! In winter it's closed and can only be used for private events. Only service can be quite slow, currently only some sweets offered for food.

Tiny bar - literally hole in the wall style meets Munich hipster. Extremely friendly stuff. Gin Basil Smash was good. Nice and refreshing experience compared to other bars in Munich.
