Lovely little site. Toilet/shower facilities on the upper floor is annoying but understandable due to being right next to the river. Which is lovely. Pitch was fine. Decent amount of space. Staff were polite and helpful. Easy enough to cycle to Koln, Bonn and the surrounding area. Good time was had by all.

I’d avoid for the price they charge. Facilities are subpar with freezing cold showers that feel very unclean and outdated. Campers are encouraged to park extremely close together - so much that we had to move our van over and lose our awning space as our wing mirror was practically touching the van next door that had arrived while we were out. Staff took no real interest in this matter. A positive is that it is easy to access Cologne town centre via tram, but the site itself is a money grab that provides very little.

We stayed for one night in our motorhome and were pleasantly surprised by this campsite. Check in was easy, the location good and facilities were everything we needed. We’re cycled into Cologne on the cycle path which was nice and flat and took around 20 minutes with lovely views of the river Rhine. I would recommend the Poller Fischenhaus restaurant right outside the campsite lovely food and friendly atmosphere.

We stayed here in July 2026. A pleasant campsite with lots of trees for shade. The bike ride to Koln is very pleasant - along cycle paths along the bank of the Rhine, crossing at the Hohenzollern Bridge with its wonderful love locks. The city is pleasant. We did the climb up the Dom of Koln Cathedral and mooched around. I’m sure there’s stuff we missed but a day and a half was enough for us. The campsite is clean , well maintained with a super covered communal kitchen. Staff were very friendly. Electricity was a bit distant so bring your long leads but the campsite did have some that they lent out (with a deposit) - I didn’t need one. And you definitely DO need the European plug adapter on the end of your round plug leads. Couldn’t fault the site or Koln Happy Travels Piers
