Beautiful lake and sunset. 5 minutes Shower costs 1 Euro. There are no hairdryers provided, and crucially, there are electrical sockets if you bring your own.

I would give this campsite 1 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, it was not what we expected based on the photos. The pictures make it look like a quiet and peaceful campsite with plenty of privacy, but in reality there is a public beach surrounding the campsite. This also applies to the pitches by the water, meaning there are constantly people walking directly in front of your spot, so there is very little privacy. In addition, around 80% of the campsite consists of permanent pitches. Many of these permanent setups are very old and appear poorly maintained, which gives the campsite a rather run-down and neglected atmosphere. Another issue was that the pitches seem to be designed mainly for campers rather than tents. We only discovered this when we arrived and tried to set up our tent, as it was impossible to put tent pegs into the ground. We had specifically mentioned during our reservation that we would be staying in a tent, yet this was never communicated to us beforehand. After we brought this up, the staff offered us a place in the tent area instead. However, our tent did not fit there, as the maximum size allowed was 4 x 10 meters. I really enjoyed my visit to Camping Ambach am S. 🏕️ It's such a peaceful spot, perfect for unwinding. 😌 The calm atmosphere made for a truly relaxing experience. 🌳 Highly recommend for a tranquil getaway! ✨

Lovely campsite with great views over the lake. We had an especially stunning sunset. The lake pitches are spacious. The restaurant serves really yummy dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff.

We had never visited this campsite before, and really loved it. We only spent two nights here, however will definitely go again and stay longer next time. Great food at the campsite bar, with fun, quirky caravans that had been cut in half to sit at tables in. Great location to the lake which we paddled in, snorkled in, and went on our own paddle boards and kayak. The lake was so calm and relaxing, especially when out in the middle of it! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
