I wanted a cake or two, Cola and cup of tea at Saturday afternoon. I've entered the place, three employees at bar ignored me, no answer to greeting, no offer of anything. So I had a look to cakes in fridge. Other two employees suddenly unrgent needed to walk that close, both kicked my ass. Other three just laugh. Obviose this place hates to have any customers. Real DDR experience in West Berlin: "we needn't anything to sale, don't disturb us here"!

It's like an institution, not just cafe. Amazing cakes, look at the paintings inside, especially in back room.

Stepping into this place feels like a genuine trip back in time. The vintage atmosphere is incredible—so well-preserved and elegant, with every little detail carefully thought out. Even though we didn't have a reservation and were just looking for a quick bite, the staff was incredibly kind and accommodated us without any issues. The coffee was delicious and the service was genuinely warm. That said, the place is clearly popular for a reason, so I’d definitely recommend booking a table in advance to make sure you don't miss out on this beautiful spot!

Found the loveliest slightly quirky breakfast spot this morning in the west area of Berlin. It was such a vibe, I absolutely cant eait to come back with my friends again!! The place has this cosy, old-world feel… big vintage chandeliers with tassels, velvet chairs, and shelves of bottles behind the bar. It feels a bit like you’ve stepped back in time, in the best possible way. The breakfast was huge and full of little surprises — fluffy scrambled eggs with tomatoes, fresh bread rolls, olives, little mozzarella balls with pesto, a beautiful fruit bowl piled with berries and melon, and really good coffee. One of those spreads where you keep discovering more on the table. Although I maybe got abit too excited with the options as I couldnt finish it (oops!) Such a relaxed, generous place to start the day. Come hungry and take your time — it’s the kind of breakfast that turns into a whole lovely morning. Yes yes yess.

This Cafe is a true gem in Berlin. Definitely a must for a breakfast but also for a coffee break in the afternoon. Wonderful food in a nice “old Viennese” stye ambiance. The positive reviews are right, the few bad ones are only about a more or less great waitress, who has to be harsh sometimes due to more demand than free tables available. Great and friendly staff. Wonderful old style rooms. The owner recreates a bit of his Viennese heritage there.
