Visiting Burg Satzvey was honestly such a fun experience. The castle itself is beautiful, and there were people everywhere dressed in medieval outfits, little market stands, music playing, and food cooking outside. Watching the knight tournament was probably the best part, and just walking around the castle grounds feltl magical and different from a normal day trip.❤️

The outside looks nice, only very dissapointing you cant walk around the castle to take pictures. Its all private ground so the only nice image you can get is from the front side and innercourt. It was closed today so i was hoping to see the outside but you are not allowed to go to most parts. Not worth to drive all the way there just for this.

I’ve been wanting to do a Christmas market in a castle for a number of years and this did not disappoint! Was initially put off by the negative reviews yes you have to pay for entry but prices in the market where very reasonable. Lots of different stalls we came home with some handmade pottery and a metal spinner, things we haven’t seen at other markets. Our party wouldn’t have any issues visiting again if ever in the area. The only thing we were disappointed about was not getting tickets to look inside the castle as it looked lovely inside.

We went on Christmas. The market was big and pretty, full of everything you could ask for but the entrance ticket was a bit overpriced and the tour that they give inside of the castle is super boring and not worth it

Seems like a great place for if there are events going on. We went on a non event day, and there were just a few open shops. Tours of the castle are only in German, with a rough translation page available in English. It was a beautiful castle on the outside but we only got to see a few rooms inside, and as it is still lived in by the family a fair amount of discussion was about the family.
