Ich habe mich in letzter Zeit in verschiedenen Buchhandlungen in Augsburg aufgehalten. In meinem Fazit gebe ich auch gleich meinen Favoriten bekannt: Die BUCHHANDLUNG AM OBSTMARKT. Hier gibt es ein Mehr an allem was man sich als Leser wünscht. Kompetente und persönliche Beratung, aktuelle Literatur, aber auch Literatur nach individuellem Geschmack, man kann sich in Ruhe umschauen, wird aber auch aufmerksam und wertschätzend von den Inhabern wahrgenommen. Kurz gesagt: einfach wunderbar! Ihr müsst unbedingt mal hingehen!

This is a small but exquisite bookshop. It focuses on the outstanding features of Augsburg - literature and the history of the city. Its offering of works by and about Bertolt Brecht is outstanding and unique. Up to now, I bought at least one book every time I entered the store. I can't think of a bigger compliment.

Sehr gute, Inhaber geführter Buchhandlung mit sehr gutem aktuellem Sortiment, stets hervorragenden Lesetipps, Lesungen Kulturprogramm zur Augsburger Kulturgeschichte, Wirtschaftshistorie u.v.m. ! Vor allem bemerkenswert ist Literatur von und über Bertolt Brecht, das Wissen über das Leben von Bertolt Brecht und seiner Familie u.v.m.! Ein Besuch der Buchhandlung, eine Teilnahme an den Veranstaltungen und ein Gespräch mit dem Inhaber, einer Augsburger Institution, lohnen sich auf jeden Fall.
