Before you visit a store like this one, it helps to know what you are looking for and roughly what it should cost; asking for the exact model or brand avoids confusion. Trading hours are set by each state: most shops open Monday to Saturday and close on Sundays and public holidays, with bakeries on Sunday mornings, petrol stations and station shops as the exceptions. Late opening in city centres usually ends at 8 pm.
Opening hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–8 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 0911 274240. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. Its website is e-breuninger.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
With 4.1 out of 5 on Google from 3,407 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for mode & bekleidung in Nürnberg. German customers tend to review sparingly and critically, so a mid-range score with detailed comments is often a fair picture.
Nürnberg is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Terrible attitude of consultants towards customers. Very condescending attitude, as if you are not human. When I sprayed the tester on the blotter, an old woman consultant came up to me and said that this perfume is too expensive for me. Did she see my bank account to say that? Is it forbidden to try perfumes in this store and you can only look? I own a small collection of niche perfumes and think I can afford another bottle. This woman ruined my mood for my entire day off. I will never come to this store again in my life, although I have bought things there before. I will never leave a cent there again.

I’ve been into the Nobles fragrance department at Breuninger a few times now, and I always end up leaving impressed. If you’re looking for a new scent, it’s definitely worth asking for Marina or Tom Ebel. Marina helped me when I was trying to find a fresh summer fragrance. She didn’t rush anything and actually took time to understand what I usually go for. Her recommendations felt spot on and she clearly knows her stuff. She also introduced me to brands like Amouage and Roja, which I hadn’t really explored properly before. I walked away with a fragrance I really like, and a few new ideas for what to try next. Tom has also been great every time I’ve been in. He’s really easy to talk to and clearly passionate about fragrances. Last time he showed me a Grape note Tiziana Terenzi fragrance with amazing sillage, I’ve been thinking about it since and will probably go back for it. He’s good at picking out things you wouldn’t normally choose, but end up liking. What I like about both of them is it never feels forced or salesy. It’s more like they’re just helping you figure out what actually suits you. If you’re in Breuninger and thinking about a new fragrance, ask for Marina or Tom. Y

What a wonderful experience. Mrs. Markovich is a true asset of the perfume section. What a warm human being!

I walked in not knowing what I was getting myself into and was generally confused for the first few minutes. At first it was hard to find staff as everyone works in their own specific bubble. However, when I found someone they were extremely nice and knowledgeable about international shopping laws and credits. This whole time as well I did not feel like I was obligated to buy anything. I left the store with a pretty good deal on two wallets and an overall positive shopping experience.

Great place for all shopping needs. There's a lot of brands to choose from and the sales assistants are always ready to help. The place is very elegant and it feels great from the moment you walk in. There is also a café where you can have sweets and relax for a while.
