Excellent food and service, but a serious issue outdoors... Our experience at Block House Elisenhof was a mix of positives and negatives. The food was excellent, and the service was genuinely outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, there was a serious issue in the outdoor seating area that significantly affected our experience: we saw mice running between the tables, including directly underneath the tables where guests were sitting. I understand that restaurants with outdoor seating may occasionally have to deal with such issues, but seeing mice so close to customers and dining tables is extremely unpleasant and concerning, especially in a restaurant. It’s a real shame because the food and service were excellent. I hope this issue is addressed promptly, because otherwise it could have been a very positive dining experience.

We had a great time in this Block house restaurant while visiting Munich. The service is good, however the preparation of the food took a long time. When it finally arrived it was all top quality and tasty. The steaks were great. The carpaccio was good as well. We loved the garlic bread. Will probably come again when visiting Munich.

I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Block House. We ordered the fillet mignon and ribeye steak which were both so tender and delicious!

We had a great dinner there tonight. There’s an English menu for us tourists, and the staff are quite competent dealing with us in that tongue. The carnivore enjoyed his lean Filet Mignon, cooked as ordered. I had the potato rosti and loved it. The service and timing were great. Loved the professionalism of the floor staff. They know what they’re doing and they do it well, seemingly effortlessly. Kudos! The atmosphere was very pleasant. We had a ‘booth’ to ourselves, which afforded sufficient privacy, and we could easily converse in comfort. Whilst the restaurant was busy, it wasn’t loud. With a bottle of wine, some sparkling water, our two mains and a bruschetta, we left a tip and parted with €100 neat, feeling quite pleased.

Great steak cooked perfectly and a really nice atmosphere. Relaxed, welcoming place and a solid choice for a good meal in Munich. Would happily return
