I was in Munich for a day with my family, and we decided to visit the Birkenstock store. Unfortunately, we had an extremely unpleasant experience. The staff appeared disinterested and seemed genuinely unhappy to assist customers. At one point, a female staff member felt the need to lecture me about keeping my boxes on the counter and even told me that she didn’t really care whether I purchased the footwear or not. I found this attitude incredibly rude and unprofessional. I genuinely don’t understand why someone would work in a customer-facing retail environment while displaying such arrogance and hostility toward customers. Her behaviour came across as particularly condescending, and the overall attitude of the staff made us feel very unwelcome. As tourists, we also felt that we were being treated differently, as though our presence in the store was an inconvenience. Customers should never be made to feel as if they are receiving a favour simply by being allowed to shop. Based on our experience, I would not recommend visiting this store, especially if you are a tourist. The store stocks most of the classic styles. We arrived slightly after 10am and the shop is crowded with everyone trying on a shoes. We knew exactly what we want and purchased it. The lady is quick, helpful and communicate in English well.

I promised Sebastian that I would leave a review, and he absolutely deserves one!!!!!!! This was my first pair of Birkenstocks, and Sebastian helped me choose the perfect one. He was incredibly kind, patient, and showed me so many different pairs until we found exactly the right fit🤗 My name is Kate, and I told him that in Ukraine our grandmothers wear very similar slippers in the countryside 😂, and now they have become a fashionable trend all over the world I also came to the store with my small dog, Olivka I want to sincerely thank Sebastian for taking so much time with me and providing the best service I could have asked for. "The Birkenstock shop near the Munich Market was a bit of a mixed experience. While I was excited to visit, the one-in, one-out policy at a seemingly small store led to a 15-minute wait outside, which was a bit odd. Inside, the store was quite small and the selection was very limited. The staff were friendly, but seemed to be struggling with the number of customers, which created an impression of disorganization. While the service was a bit disappointing, the product itself is, as always, excellent. The shoes are great, but the shop itself could be better.

As an Asian customer, I felt blatantly ignored and unwelcome by the store staff. Despite making multiple attempts to ask for assistance, I was met with silence, avoidance, and a clear unwillingness to engage. Meanwhile, European-looking customers were immediately offered help with smiles and attentive service. This treatment was not only unprofessional but also felt discriminatory. I strongly believe that all customers — regardless of race or nationality — deserve to be treated with equal respect and courtesy. To raise awareness of this unacceptable behavior, I will be leaving a public review on Google and including a photo of the staff member involved, so other customers can be aware of the experience I had. I hope your company takes this matter seriously and implements proper training to ensure inclusive and fair service for everyone.
