About Berliner Döner

100% Kalbfleisch 100% Hähnchenfleisch

Berliner Döner is a kebab shop in München, Bayern. It is listed at Berg-am-Laim-Straße 89, 81673 München, which places it among the local businesses of München that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as türkisches restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–10 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around public holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Berliner Döner on 089 18902680; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. Its website is berlinerdoenermuenchen.de, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 710 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect before you commit to a visit.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Just ate a somewhat mediocre chicken döner sandwich, cheap but not worth having if you can think of better options.

One of my favourite cities in Germany; I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and the history of the city makes it incredibly appealing

We were a group of Asians, born and raised in the States, and we speak perfect English. The owners themselves seemed to be immigrants, yet their racism toward minorities was so blatant that it ruined my morning. In front of us was a French customer who didn’t speak English or German, and the owners were patient, kind, and took their time with him. But when it came to our turn, their attitude completely changed. We hesitated for just a second while trying to choose from 8 unfamiliar sauces, and instead of helping, they started yelling at us. When I couldn’t pick instantly, they simply refused to give me any sauce at all. On top of that, the food was unbearably salty to the point where my tongue felt numb. We couldn’t even finish it and had to throw it away. This was not just bad service, it was racism in action. Absolutely unacceptable. Please don’t waste your time or money here.

The ONLY real Döner in Munich. Coming from Berlin, you will quickly realise that Munich fails miserably at making Döner. Lucky for me, Gülers serves awesome Berlin-like Döner and is close to my workplace. Kalb and Hähnchen both taste delicious!
