Hiring a tradesperson in Germany works best with a clear brief: describe the job, ask for a written Kostenvoranschlag, agree on timing and payment stages, and confirm who supplies the materials. The quote should state whether 19% VAT is included, and a Meisterbetrieb or Innung membership is a sign of formal qualification. Many firms visit before quoting and then send the estimate by e-mail or WhatsApp, which leaves you a record of what was agreed. Keep the Handwerkerrechnung: part of the labour cost is tax-deductible.

No opening hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times, and remember that most shops in Germany close on Sundays and public holidays. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, barvalentin.de.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 189 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded eventlocations, hochzeiten & catering in München.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. German addresses put the street name before the house number, followed by the five-digit postcode and the town, as in "Marienplatz 8, 80331 München". The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Hosted an industry event at Bar Valentin for my company and the team is so easy to work with! They made everything we needed happen seamlessly through the evening. I can only highly recommend Bar Valentin for a cozy private space for an event! Thank you to the team again!

You can almost call it a speakeasy…Munich style! Located in the passage at the very downtown, this cocktail bar / italian restaurant is a proper place to spend friday & saturday night at. Broad selection of signature cocktails (try Gigolo!), curious dishes, chic ambience & welcoming staff, this place is no doubt a very bold statement to Munich F&B scene.

One of my favorite bar/restaurant combinations in the center featuring a glass canopy. Hidden in a backyard, its name is inspired by the Bavarian comedian Karl Valentin. I highly recommend trying the Crodino (alcohol-free) aperitif here. It boasts a bittersweet taste with distinctive herbal flavors. I ordered the roasted octopus, which could have been more tender. It seems it wasn’t tenderized or massaged enough before cooking. However, the mint-pea foam and the fried small pieces (tasted as tuna) resembling red wood chips elevate it to a 5-star dish.

Found by chance. Delightful Italian-based cafe/restaurant, shared a mixed platter of cheeses and meats. Gorgeous fresh bread, proper olive oil (rare here) in a modern, calm, very happy atmosphere. Toilets are amazing (especially the fur wall on way down. Food is light-years away from traditional Bavarian heavy-as-lead cuisine. We'll be back!
