Bäcker & Bistro Haßelbach is a bäckereien in Berlin, Berlin. It is listed at Str. der Pariser Kommune 10, 10243 Berlin-Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, which places it among the local businesses of Berlin that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
For a place to eat or drink in Germany, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open today (many restaurants keep a weekly Ruhetag), does it take reservations for dinner, and does the menu suit your group. Tipping is modest, rounding up or adding 5-10% when you pay, and while cards are accepted in most places, cash is still the safe choice at bakeries, Imbiss stands and beer gardens. Tap water is not served automatically, and bottles you take away carry a Pfand deposit.
Opening hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 06:00–16:00. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is 030 28090820. Calling ahead is the norm in Germany for reservations and for confirming that a small business is open that day; e-mail or WhatsApp is the common alternative if you would rather write than speak. More information is available on its website, hasselbach-baeckerbistro.berlin.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 560 reviews, which is a strong result for a bäckereien in Berlin and suggests consistent service.
Berlin is in the state of Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany; summers are warm, winters grey and cold with occasional snow, and the dense U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network puts most businesses within a few minutes' walk of a stop. For directions in Berlin, Google Maps and the DB Navigator app cover public transport times and walking routes, and most towns have well-marked cycle lanes. Local transport tickets must be bought or validated before boarding, and parking near busy streets is limited and metered.

We had a lovely visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The scrambled eggs with bacon was delicious, and the sandwich was just as good. The hot chocolate came in a big mug and tasted wonderful. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy, almost like being in a little kids’ playhouse. The staff even offered us an extra piece of yummy bread for free, but we were already too full — a very kind gesture. Overall, the prices were very reasonable and we left happy and satisfied.

The food is delicious, and the staff member is very friendly. He can introduce the dishes in both German and English. The decor is also very beautiful. I highly recommend everyone to come and try it!

Charming and quirky small café just outside Ostbahnhof. Unassuming and somewhat industrial exterior, but very friendly staff and inside it has a lot more character than the usual chain cafés in the Ostbahnhof station. Good selection of sweet and salty foods.

Lovely little bakery and cafe! Lady who served us was super friendly and lovely. Good selection of typical German baked goods, sandwiches and other hot breakfast options. Coffee was good too. We ordered for takeaway and it fed all 5 of us for €13! 👍
