Hiring a tradesperson in Germany works best with a clear brief: describe the job, ask for a written Kostenvoranschlag, agree on timing and payment stages, and confirm who supplies the materials. The quote should state whether 19% VAT is included, and a Meisterbetrieb or Innung membership is a sign of formal qualification. Many firms visit before quoting and then send the estimate by e-mail or WhatsApp, which leaves you a record of what was agreed. Keep the Handwerkerrechnung: part of the labour cost is tax-deductible.

München is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around München is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.

Badenburg @ Munich, Germany 🛁🏛️🇨🇳 📍 Schlosspark Nymphenburg Badenburg is one of the elegant garden pavilions in Nymphenburg Palace Park, built in the early 1700s as a royal bathhouse. It features one of the earliest examples of a heated indoor swimming pool in Europe—an extraordinary luxury of its time. The interior decoration is lavish, with Baroque stucco and elegant Chinese-style motifs that reflect the period’s fascination with East Asian aesthetics. You’ll find painted wallpapers and porcelain-inspired details throughout the structure, lending an exotic charm to its otherwise classic European architecture. The walk to Badenburg from the main palace or from Amalienburg is peaceful, with greenery, canals, and wildlife along the way. 🧭 Tip: Visit with a combined Park Palaces ticket to enter. It’s quieter than the palace itself and worth it for lovers of architecture, history, and unique cultural blends.

I didn’t expect to find a swimming pool and it’s so beautiful 😍 I also didn’t expect the Japanese art. This place is Majestic and a great surprise. Not much to see in terms of furniture compares to the Schloss but the rest is wonderful

This one is definitely worth a visit! It’s included in the €20 combo ticket you can buy at the entrance to Nymphenburg Palace. It’s a small but remarkably well-preserved bathhouse—and what truly blew me away was the basement! It’s filled with what looks like ancient thermal baths, visible right from the ground floor because the floor has been cleverly cut open. I’d never seen anything like it before! They say it was inspired by the Sun King’s royal baths at Versailles, which no longer exist. Such a unique and fascinating experience!
