Very professional handling of return process and helpful with regards to giving directions.

I rented my car first time at Avis. I would say it was one of my smooth experiences with car rental. Document checkin to handover completed in less than 5 mins by Mr Kajo. He was extremely warm and explained all the costs involved in rental before signing. I felt it was very transparent.

I am from Australia. My wife and I visited Germany in May to see our daughter who is on a holiday working visa scheme in Germany. I rented a car with Avis at Tillypark, Nurenburg but had a minor accident on the 1st day which caused minor scratches to the door panels on 1 side of vehicle. The car is still ok to drive and we continue our journey for the next 9 days. When I returned the car as scheduled the office door was locked and they just told me to drop the key into a box. They do not inspect the car at the spot. Then 4 weeks later they asked me to provide a damage statement which I did. Then on 11-Jul Avis appoints Van Ameyde which claims I am responsible and have to pay all repair costs plus other fees which amounts to 10K Eur which is equivalent to 25% of the market value of the vehicle. They request the amount be paid in 21 days. This is despite the fact that I have purchased a zero excess collision damage waiver with Avis beforehand. I think this is unfair and want to complaint. Dialogue with Van Ameyde is still open but their response time is very slow. Often take a week or more to respond to my questions. I found it almost impossible to resolve this dispute. For exampl

The staff here is really horrible. I ordered a vehicle through the company website and when I come to pick up my vehicle, because I have chosen automatic, and the reminded automatic vehicles are only expensive cars. They cheated me that, my driving license is invalid, come on, I have rented some many times whatever by Avis or Sixt! The staff there is very slack and totally not friendly. I hope this company goes out of business soon. I will be filing a complaint to my company and asking them to change suppliers

Really angry about the service!!!!!!! Non-professional staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never rent a car with AVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! A parking fine that I received during my lovely stay in Germany. It is not the fine of 10 Euro that I am concerned about but the way an Avis staff member dealt with the parking ticket when I showed it to her, which led to an administration fee of 29.75 Euro.!!! As you can imagine I was both shocked and surprised, and very upset to say the least. I brought out the parking ticket and showed it to an Avis staff, and I asked if she would be able to deal with the parking fine and she said that it would be ok, that it would be sorted out as we have your credit card details. So, like any customer would, I thought it would be dealt with by Avis to help its client out. Until recently I had received a letter from you detailing the Administration Fee of 29.75 Euro, that's 3 times the cost of the fine, just for passing information to the Traffic Authority. Obviously I was stunned and in disbelieved as to how costly the charge was, had I been told about the cost of the administration cost involved in helping me to pay a 10 Euro parking ticket I would have paid the fine myself
