Auto Kohl GmbH

Located at Gundstraße 17, 91056 Erlangen-Büchenbach, Auto Kohl GmbH operates as a kfz-werkstätten serving Erlangen in Bayern. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as abschleppdienst, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Cars in Germany need the main inspection (Hauptuntersuchung, by TÜV or DEKRA) every two years, and a workshop that handles it for you is worth keeping in your contacts. Ask for an itemised estimate before work starts, check whether the price includes labour and VAT, and ask whether original or aftermarket parts are used. A Vertragswerkstatt costs more than an independent workshop but keeps the manufacturer's warranty intact, and winter tyres are required whenever conditions are wintry.

Opening hours are published for 1 day a week. The most common schedule is 08:00–17:00. Hours in Germany do change around public holidays, and many businesses close for a day or two over Christmas and Easter, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Auto Kohl GmbH on 09131 79840; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions, and many businesses also take enquiries and bookings by e-mail or WhatsApp. More information is available on its website, autokohl.de.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 204 reviews, which is a strong result for a kfz-werkstätten in Erlangen and suggests consistent service.

Erlangen is in Bayern, in the south, the country's industrial powerhouse around Munich and Stuttgart with the Alps and the Black Forest on the doorstep; winters bring snow and the occasional warm Föhn wind, summers are the warmest in Germany, and living costs are the highest. Getting around Erlangen is easiest by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus, all covered by the Deutschlandticket that is valid on local and regional transport across Bayern and beyond; parking in city centres is scarce and either paid or limited by Parkscheibe, so public transport or a bike is usually quicker than driving.
