We came here to watch the Argentina match, and the experience was excellent. The venue is huge, beautiful, and has a fantastic atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy both a sporting event and a traditional German beer garden. There was a giant screen with a great view of the match, and even though the place was very busy, everything felt well organized and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. We also loved that it’s very family-friendly, with a play area where children can have fun while adults enjoy the food or a beer. The service was very good. We tried the traditional German pork knuckle, and it was delicious. The portions were generous, and there was a great selection of beers to choose from. One thing we really appreciated is that, as in many traditional Munich beer gardens, you’re welcome to bring your own food as long as you purchase your drinks there. The location is easy to reach by train, and if you’re driving, there’s also convenient parking available. The restrooms were spotless as well, which is always appreciated in such a busy place. Great place with awesome food, wine and beer. Plenty of room for the kids to run and play in the beer garden. Definitely a must do for visitors wanting the Bavarian experience

We are an Australian couple staying in the neighborhood and visited on Good Friday afternoon and again Easter Sunday afternoon. The sun was shining both days but it was much warmer today (22) compared to Friday (12) so it was much busier today. The beer is great, the food typically Bavarian and the atmosphere terrific with locals enjoying the wonderful setting

What a wonderful discovery! Having visited many of the well-known beer gardens in the city centre, I found Augustiner Schützengarten to be a truly refreshing experience. The atmosphere is fantastic – spacious, relaxed, and authentic, without the overwhelming crowds of tourists you often find elsewhere. The food was outstanding: everything we ordered was perfectly prepared, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. From the schnitzels to the käsespätzle and roasts, each dish was genuinely delicious. The service matched the quality of the kitchen – attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout. The menu offers a great variety of Bavarian classics alongside Augustiner’s excellent beers, and the whole place is spotless and well-kept, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. All in all, this beer garden feels more genuine and local than many in the centre of Munich. A perfect spot for anyone who wants to enjoy great Bavarian food and beer in a warm, authentic setting. Highly recommended!
