Augsburg central station is currently under construction. Most of the station is actually not accessible yet trains run at normal schedule. ICE long distance trains run from here to many cities in Germany. The closest larger cities to reach might be Munich, Ulm as well as Stuttgart.

About 30 minutes ago, I had to go to the travel center of this train station. My train from lindau was 40 minutes late and because of that, i missed my train to Berlin. I talked to the employee at the first counter to the left when you enter. A man between 35 and 40 yo. Tall, very short hair, slim, small glasses . I explained the situation in German, he looked in his system and explained that the train I wanted to have instead was not available. I didn't understand why so I asked him if he could repeat in English. He looked at me and said "if you want to speak English, it is better to go to England". I was speechless and very upset. I proceeded to carry the conversation in German and he replied in English . Dear unfriendly, unhappy Augsburg Dbahn employee, be sure you will get a formal complain.
